Day 1 Airport transfer
We meet and greet at the Airport and we drive you 36km to Kampala and then check-in at your hotel for overnight and dinner. Red chilli Hideout or Cassia Lodge (Up market)
Day 2- Transfer to Jinja
You will be picked from your hotel early in the morning by our tour guide to begin your journey to Eastern Uganda. En-route stop over at the Sezibwa falls- a unique Buganda cultural site located along the Jinja Kampala highway. After exploring the falls proceed with the trip passing through Mabira forest where you will stop over for a forest walk, expect to encounter different species of butterfly and primates including the red tailed monkey, grey cheeked mangabey, vervet monkeys among others. After lunch proceed to Jinja and head directly to the Source of the Nile (world’s longest river). You will explore the source on dug-out canoe and then later visit surrounding craft shops for some souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay at 2 Friends Guest House (budget) or Jinja Nile Resort (Up-market)
Day 3- White water rafting
After breakfast, head out for a full/ half day rafting adventure on the Nile. Get prepared by listening to some briefing, fitting of life jackets and few minutes training. Feel the adrenaline rush as you paddle with your team through grade 5 rapids for over 11 km. If you’re doing half day rafting, your trip will end on Malubisi Island where you have lunch and drinks but if you’re on full day, it will continue to the last Nile Special wave with a mouthwatering buffet and drinks at the end. Note: If you’re not interested in rafting, there are plenty of other fun-filled activities you can enjoy while on tour in Jinja and these include Bungee Jumping, River Kayaking, Quad biking, horseback riding, Jet boating among others. Just let us know which activity you want and we will add it to the itinerary. Depart Jinja and return to Kampala arriving late in the evening. Overnight and Dinner at Redchilli Hideout (Budget) or Cassia Lodge (Up market).
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls NP.
You will be picked by the safari guide from your hotel and you start your transfer to Murchison falls national park. You will also travel by road with lunch on the way before reaching the park. You will then take a tour to the top of the falls as the first activity in the park; this hike will also take you up to the water edge where you will have the opportunity to get close to the narrow gorge through which this river explodes into the falls. You will after proceed to the lodge for your overnight and Dinner at Red chilli Camp (Budget) or Paara safari lodge (Up market).
Day 5: Murchison falls national park Uganda safaris
Have breakfast and after take an early morning game drive to view the early risers, you will be able to view many animals on the Buligi, Albert and Queen’s track north of the River Nile and you will be accompanied by the guide. Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth includes elephant, Rothschild giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis, waterbucks and other game on the grassy hillsides. After that, you will return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise on the Nile where you will view many species of animals including; hippos, crocodiles and other park residents. Dinner and overnight stay Paraa safari lodge / Red Chilli.
Day 6: Murchison falls – Fort portal (Kibale Forest National Park)
After enjoying your breakfast, you will start your transfer to Kibale national park which is also a long and rewarding journey to those interested in scenery viewing and the African homes locally built. You will arrive at the park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house (Budget) or KibaleForest Lodge (Up market).
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Bigodi swamp walk
You will begin with a in the morning, then head to the headquarters to get briefed about the Chimp trek, then you will start your trekking experience in the tropical rain forest in search for the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will take a guided nature walk to Bigodi Swamp, an initiative under the surrounding communities of Kibale. Bigodi swamp is famous to tourist because of its rich variety of bird species and primates like the red tailored monkeys, black and white colobus and grey cheeked mangabey. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house (Budget) or Kibale Forest Lodge (Up market).
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Have a cup of coffee in the morning, and after drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, this journey will take you through the historical Kasese town with the clear view of the mountains of the moon. You will also enjoy a game drive on your way to the accommodation facility in the middle of the park which provides a chance to spot many animals like waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife. Evening is at your own leisure Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or budget Simba Safari Camp.
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth national park
You will begin with a game drive in the morning towards the mating grounds of the Kobs, we look for the great residents of the park, and these include the lions, elephants, buffaloes and early risers, before transferring at the lodge for lunch. After having your lunch, you will proceed to Kazinga channel to take a boat cruise. Its shores attract a large number of birdlife, mammals and reptiles year around. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel is a must visit for all tourists visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or budget Simba Safari Camp.
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Park
After breakfast, we shall continue to Bwindi gorilla forest park passing through the Ishasha sector of the park and traditional homes locally built. This transfer to Bwindi will avail you a chance to visit the world’s only famous tree-climbing Lions and other myriads of Wildlife species of animals, plants and birds. Arrive Bwindi and overnight stay is at Silver back Lodge (Up market) or Buhoma community RestCamp (Budget).
Day 11: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi
You will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience.by 8:00, you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration. The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. And when the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within 6 meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms. The visitors also require a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, since the trek can take from half an hour to 6 hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates. You will have your packed lunch after the trek. Dinner and overnight Silver back Lodge (Up market)orBuhoma community Rest Camp (Budget).
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have a morning cup of coffee and take a short community walk around Buhoma. This walk will take you to the neighboring communities of Bwindi, Also have a chance to get involved in activities like the traditional dances and cooking this walk will enable you to see the life style and the culture of the communities. And then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale with many bird species and that’s why it acquired the name it is also the deepest lake in Uganda. You will take canoe ride to the various islands in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay Bunyonyi overland camp (Upmarket)/ Bushara Island (Budget).
Day 13: Explore Lake Bunyonyi
You will take breakfast at you’re your lodge and after enjoy a number of activities for you to do, you may visit the local markets in Kibale, Visit plantations, community walk to see the life style of people in Africa, go birding on the lake since the Lake is a home to many birds, play volley or go swimming in the evening. Later transfer to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo national park
Have breakfast and after depart to Lake Bunyonyi and travel to Lake Mburo National park, this park is a very special place, every part of it has variety of animals. It contains an extensive area of the wetland. The animals found here include; zebras, impalas, elands, Topi, and buffaloes. The bird population includes the rare shoebill stork. Its sculptured landscape with rolling grassy hills and idyllic lakeshore has a varied mosaic of habitants, forest galleries, rich acacia tree valleys, seasonal, and permanent swamps which all support a wealth of wildlife. You will also check in at your lodge, overnight and dinner at Mihingo Lodge (Upmarket) or Rwakobo Rock Camp
Day 15: Boat ride and Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast proceed for a boat cruise/ride on the lake were you will view many animals including the crocodiles, hippopotamus, and plant species. Then after proceed to Kampala having a stopover at the Equator and experiment the activities to do with, continue to your Lodge in Kampala for overnight and Dinner Red chilli Hideout or Cassia Lodge (Up market).
Day 16: City tour and Airport drop
After breakfast, pack your personal effects and we drive you to Kampala City Center for some shopping, Photographing and sight-seeing we may visit the Buganda Road Craft Village for some Art works and Art pieces, Then after we will transfer to Entebbe International Airport as you prepare for your departure flight.
